Sausalito Village is a non profit membership group that helps older residents stay in their own home as long as possible through a diverse range of volunteer services and programs. Membership is open to anyone living in 94965. Low income waivers are available.

In March 2014, Sausalito was awarded membership into the World Health Organization Global Network of Age Friendly Cities and Communities, the first City in Marin and the third City in the State of California. The benefits to membership include communication with other Age Friendly Cities and their best practices.
The Edgewater Seniors Club of Sausalito have been meeting for 38 years. The many members meet for a variety of social gatherings, presentations, trips and friendly conversation. A large percentage of the club members are longtime residents of Sausalito and are an important part of our community. CARSS - Call a Ride for Sausalito Seniors
City of Sausalito Age-Friendly Program managed by Sausalito Village
With just one phone call, seniors 60 and older can request a FREE ride anywhere within Sausalito, the floating homes community and Marin City, Monday through Friday 10am to 2pm. Library Services
Sausalito Library and Age Friendly Sausalito have joined forces to create a new and improved home delivery service of library materials with Call a Ride for Seniors (CARSS) volunteer drivers. Participation in this program is free and open to residents of Sausalito and the Floating Home Community who are 60 years of age or older, or younger adults with a disability. We accept applications on an ongoing basis from eligible patrons requesting service.
