As a cost-savings measure due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Sausalito will modify or suspend many City services during the week between Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
From December 28 to December 31, City departments will be operating at the following service levels:
Administration. The City's administrative offices will be closed for the week.
Community Development. The Building Division will be available for inspections on an as-needed basis on Monday and Wednesday and can be reached at (415) 289-4136. The Planning Division will be closed.
Library. The Sausalito Library will be closed during the week and will not be offering curbside service. Book drops will remain open so that library patrons can return items.
Parks and Recreation. The Parks and Recreation office will be closed for the week, but a reduced landscaping staff will remain on duty. Public restrooms will continue to be serviced.
Police and Fire. It will be business as usual for the Sausalito Police Department and Southern Marin Fire, with no modification to services.
Public Works. The Maintenance Division will remain open for urgent calls for service to the police department's non-emergency line at (415) 289-4170. All other operations will be suspended.
City services other than those related to public safety will also be unavailable on the official City holidays of Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. Regular operations will resume on Monday, January 4.
