Please RSVP for this Zoom program
Joseph James was best known at Sausalito's Marinship shipyard during World War II as a skilled welder and featured singer at dedication ceremonies. His rank-and-file role changed markedly in late 1943 when he opposed "back of the bus" employment discrimination at the shipyard. Learn how he succeeded in this historic effort at a virtual program presented by Tami Bell and Dana Whitson of the Sausalito Historical Society at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13. Please RSVP to receive the Zoom access information.
