At this special Sausalito Pride program inside the Sausalito Library at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 16, architect and historian Joel Karr will share his research into Sausalito's unexpected gay history. Most longtime residents don't know that in the late fifties and early sixties there were no fewer than eight gay bars in Sausalito, along with a multitude of other gathering places for gays and lesbians.
