Books by the Bay and The Sausalito Public Library present an author talk on Thursday, September 19 at 6:00 p.m. at Books by the Bay with Mara Kardas-Nelson, author of We Are Not Able to Live in the Sky: The Seductive Promise of Microfinance. The newly released book is a deeply reported work of journalism that explores the promises and perils of microfinance, told through the eyes of international lenders and women borrowers in West Africa. Kardas-Nelson will be in conversation with award-winning audio journalist Queena Kim.
