This Marin Master Gardener lecture will provide home gardeners with an overview of why deep, infrequent watering is recommended for maintaining healthy plants. Presenter Lois Stevens will focus on root depths and their uptake of water and nutrients. She will also explain efficient watering practices for Marin's climate and soil conditions. Lois has been a UC Marin Master Gardener since 2008 and been gardening for nearly 50 years. This program is part of a series of talks by Master Gardeners presented by the Library and Sausalito Beautiful, in conjunction with the University of California Cooperative Extension Marin Master Gardeners.
