Honeybees

Sausalito resident and biologist Jennifer Berry returns to the Sausalito Library to tell us about honeybees. What began as a fascination with insects has slowly grown into a sideline business of raising and selling hives for Jennifer, and she'll be sharing stories of how the bees are doing in southern Marin and what it's like to tend them. Her tales will include how bees build comb in the wild, how they make honey and how they communicate with one another, plus she will show off some of her strange and fascinating art projects where she enlists bees as collaborators. Over 100 people attended Jennifer's program, "The Coyotes of Sausalito," last spring.
