Join Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco docent Maureen O’Brien as she explores the first ever San Francisco exhibit dedicated to the work of Paul Gauguin. This exceptional retrospective includes more than fifty Gauguin paintings, wood carvings, and ceramics from the renowned collections of the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, Copenhagen. Samples of Oceanic art and Gauguin’s works on paper from the permanent collection will also be on display at the de Young, November 17, 2018 – April 7, 2019.
