Please join us for another excellent Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco presentation on the later works of Claude Monet with docent Alfred Escoffier. The exhibition features fifty paintings by Claude Monet dating mainly from 1913 to 1926, the final phase of his long career, including twenty works from the Musée Marmottan Monet in Paris. Boldly balancing representation and abstraction, Monet’s radical late works redefined the master of Impressionism as a forebear of modernism. On view at the de Young, February 16, 2019 – May 27, 2019.
