Sausalito and Experimental Film

In this program, San Francisco-based filmmaker Dominic Angerame will use the experimental film Sausalito (1948) by Frank Stauffacher as a jumping off point for his own film explorations of urban landscapes. Stauffacher's Sausalito is a surreal 11-minute excursion through Sausalito as it appeared in the late 1940s. Angerame will discuss Stauffacher's influence on his own work and that of other experimental filmmakers, followed by a screening of his short films Premonition (1995) and Revelations (2018).
