Master Gardener Series
Fall to Winter Vegetable Gardening
Thursday, September 26
7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers
Careful planning is an essential part of the fall-winter vegetable garden. This class will answer your questions as to how and when to harvest summer crops, how to prepare the soil for planting either seeds or starts for your fall-winter garden, and using seed trays for starting seeds while your garden is still at full bloom. Critical to this process is understanding what varieties of vegetables do well in the winter, what varieties can be started early, and what varieties must be planted by seed in the garden bed after the summer harvest. Presenter Joe Jennings has been a Marin Master Gardener since 2012.
