Who Was The Quiet American?
Friday, January 10
7:00 p.m. inside the Sausalito Library
Movie critic Peter Robinson will explore Graham Greene’s The Quiet American and the CIA’s influence during the French occupation of Indochina. Greene was horrified with the way the filmmakers changed the ending in the 1958 film version. The 2002 remake starring Michael Caine stayed true to the original. With clips from both movies and interviews with Michael Caine and author Graham Greene, this intriguing presentation answers the question, “Who was The Quiet American?”
